Seeking Succession
An introduction to succession planning
 In my diverse travels across the country working with family owned businesses, I commonly ask the question, “What is the status of your succession planning?” The most frequent response is “Oh, I have taken care of that in my will.” My response to this answer is that succession planning involves more than simple estate planning. This common misconception threatens the strength of every family oriented industry.
