Preparing the Next Generation of Dealers
Service Group introduces AIM—a new approach to dealer candidate training.
Most of today’s automobile dealers learned the automotive business in their youth by working in their family or local dealership during school breaks, summers, and holidays. While this was good training, it offered only a narrow view of automotive management. For these young folks, there was little opportunity to learn the business from a broader perspective. They had limited exposure to different solutions to ongoing problems.
Recognizing the need for training that gives dealer candidates not only fundamental skills, but also hands-on access to innovative solutions and strategies, Service Group has begun to develop the Automotive Industry Management (AIM) program.
