Automotive Industry Management (AIM)
Service Group's AIM program is automotive industry training
designed to provide dealer candidates the fundamental skills needed
to run a successful dealership.
AIM is a 12-month nontraditional training program consisting of:
- On-the-job training
"Shadowing" Service Group field representatives as they service dealerships
in noncompeting markets enables participants to observe how other stores
handle problems common to all dealerships.
- Classroom work
Service Group Academy is unmatched in its quality training programs and facilities.
Participants attend a training class every other month at the SGA campus in Austin.
Classes include: Sales Professional,
F&I Management, Used Vehicle Management, Fixed Solutions, Advanced F&I,
and wrapping up with the Association of Insurance and Finance Professionals (AFIP) Certification.
- Periodic seminars
Traditional automotive training does not include information on advertising
(including internet advertising), successorship planning, loss control, insurance issues
(including workers' compensation), analyzing dealership financials, and up-to-date reporting
on legal issues confronting dealers. AIM participants attend periodic seminars to learn about such topics.
The information coming out of these seminars is timely and up to date.
Most of today's dealers learned to survive in the automotive business by trial and error. AIM helps
prepare tomorrow's dealers by teaching them the fundamentals of the automotive business. Participants
are exposed to new ideas, new solutions, and proven ways to boost the bottom line.
AIM is the first step to ensuring the future success of your dealership.
